ASHRAMS IN MALAYSIA

LIST OF POPULAR ASHRAMS IN MALAYSIA

The following are a few ashrams that are present in Malaysia along with their website addresses for your convenience. The first one is the ashram that I went to in India. For anyone seeking spiritual enlightenment, please do get in touch with any of these ashrams.

What Is The Difference Between the Temple and an Ashram?

Many of us are not sure of the many other paths that can lead a soul to God and believe that temples are the only way, this is a misconception of thought.

Temples practice "Rituals" based on the Vedas. This path is known as "Bhakti Yoga" or the "Path of Devotion". People who visit temples pray to Demigods, usually to fulfill their desires which are conducted by a 'priest'. Those who practice this path shall believe that God resides 'outside' of him.

Ashrams teach "Knowledge" from the Vedas (not Yoga ashrams). This path is known as "Jnana Yoga" or the "Path of Knowledge". People who go to ashrams and listen to the wisdom spoken by a 'guru' to find inner-peace and liberation. Those who practise this path shall believe that God resides 'within' him.  The God worshipped is the Supreme Personality of Godhead – Lord Krishna (the creator of all the demigods). [Read more on this on the first page of this site – 'Home'.]

The above are the two most popular paths and their differences. Anyone looking for Self Realisation and liberation, eternal freedom, peace, well-being, joy and success, should opt for the Ashram path. This is the Path of Knowledge (Jnana Yoga). Knowledge is the only way to achieve the "Ultimate Goal of Life" Liberation (Mokhsa).
